1. National Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI): Baseline Report based on National Family Health Survey (NFHS)-4 (2015-16) has been developed by NITI Aayog in consultation with 12 Line Ministries and in partnership with State governments and the index publishing agencies –Oxford University’s Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). According to Global MPI 2021, India’s rank is 66 out of 109 countries.

2. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the continuation of the umbrella scheme "Atmosphere & Climate Research-Modelling Observing Systems & Services (ACROSS)" along with its eight sub-schemes to the next finance cycle (15th) of five years i.e. 2021-2026 at an estimated cost of Rs.2,135 crore.

3. India and the United States (US) held the 12th ministerial-level meeting of the India-US Trade Policy Forum (TPF) in New Delhi. It was co-chaired by Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal and US Trade Representative Katherine Tai. The last Trade Policy Forum (TPF) was held in 2017.

4. INS Vela, the fourth submarine in the series of six submarines of Project-75, was commissioned on 25 Nov 21 in the presence of Admiral Karambir Singh, Chief of the Naval Staff. The formal commissioning ceremony took place at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai.

5. India has been elected as a member of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee for the term of four years (2021-25). The Committee is responsible for the implementation of the World Heritage Convention, defines the use of the World Heritage Fund and allocates financial assistance upon requests from States Parties. Note: Recently, India won re-election to the executive board of the UNESCO for the 2021-25 term.

6. Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani has turned author with her debut novel ‘Lal Salaam: A Novel’. The novel, inspired by the tragic killings of 76 CRPF personnel in Dantewada in April 2010, is a tribute to the exceptional men and women who have given a lifetime of service to the country.

7. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) announced plans to skill the street vendors of East Delhi and make them eligible for e-cart licenses, improving the hygiene conditions in food preparation and aesthetics of vending.

8. The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) have commenced India-ITU Joint Cyberdrill 2021. It is a four days virtual event starting from 30 November to 3 December 2021. This Cyberdrill is intended for Indian entities especially Critical Network Infrastructure operators.

9. The country became a British colony, Barbados became the world’s newest republic. The Caribbean island nation removed Queen Elizabeth II as the head of the state. Dame Sandra Mason, the island's governor-general since 2018, was named as president-elect of the nation.

10. The 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), held in Goa in a hybrid format from November 20 -28, 2021 screened international films drawn from 73 countries at the festival. As many as 148 films were presented to film lovers in the International Section that included the World Premiere of 12 films, 7 International Premiere and 24 Asia Premiere. Uttar Pradesh has been picked as the most friendly state for film shooting.

11. Bihar pavilion won a gold medal in the 40th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2021 for “excellence in display” in state government/union territory pavilion category. IITF 2021 was organised at Pragati Maidan in Delhi from November 14 to 27.

12. Dr S K Sohan Roy, a Forbes-listed entrepreneur from Kerala has become the first Indian who has been awarded the honorary title of 'Knighthood of Parte Guelfa' in Italy.
