National Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI): Baseline Report based on National Family Health Survey (NFHS)-4 (2015-16) has been developed by NITI Aayog in consultation with 12 Line Ministries and in partnership with State governments and the index publishing agencies –Oxford University’s Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) and United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). According to Global MPI 2021, India’s rank is 66 out of 109 countries.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) chaired by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the continuation of the umbrella scheme "Atmosphere & Climate Research-Modelling Observing Systems & Services (ACROSS)" along with its eight sub-schemes to the next finance cycle (15th) of five years i.e. 2021-2026 at an estimated cost of Rs.2,135 crore.

Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Smriti Zubin Irani has turned author with her debut novel ‘Lal Salaam: A Novel’. The 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI), held in Goa in a hybrid format from November 20 -28, 2021 screened international films drawn from 73 countries at the festival. As many as 148 films were presented to film lovers in the International Section that included the World Premiere of 12 films, 7 International Premiere and 24 Asia Premiere. Uttar Pradesh has been picked as the most friendly state for film shooting.
